WellCare Foundation Texas Hold 'Em & Casino Night
Dressy/Western attire was the dress on November 1, 2008, when the WellCare Foundation hosted a Texas Hold ‘Em and Casino night at the Bison Museum in Scottsdale.
Texas Hold ‘Em and Casino Night included Texas Hold ‘Em tournament, blackjack, craps, roulette, 3-card poker, slot machines, buffet dinner and open bar.
The top two winners in the WellCare tournament received a seat at the 2008 Taser Foundation Hold ‘Em for Heroes celebrity tournament, hosted by 12 time World Series of Poker Champion, Phil Hellmuth and Country music star, Mark Wills, to be held on November 21 and 22, 2008. Kyle Lassiter was one lucky guy that evening!
Raffle vignettes included: Ride-a-long with the Phoenix Fire Dept., Dinner for two at Kincaid’s Steakhouse, Poker lessons for 8 in your own home, 2 nights at the Phoenician and 2 seats at the Hold Em event for Heroes sponsored by Taser International.
All proceeds benefit the WellCare Foundation, whose mission is to provide free integrated primary healthcare to single working mothers and their children who are not on state assistance and cannot afford insurance or to pay for needed health care. In Maricopa County alone, there are more than 175,000 single, working mothers who fall into this category.
WellCare's integrated and comprehensive approach to health care heals the whole person and provides much needed physical, mental, spiritual and emotional support.
